Muay Thai is a traditional martial art which originated from Thailand. This martial art is best known for its use of both elbows and knees in combat. Most cities all over the world have gyms which offer various martial arts classes such. This martial art is suitable for everyone. It is a good self defense so it’s even great for women of all sizes and ages. It’ll teach you the basics on how to block and attack the bad guy. The cost of lessons varies but it is usually very affordable. In terms of the equipments you will need, you’ll just probably end up buying loose fitting shorts, mouth guard, groin guard, shin pads, gloves and handwraps. Most gyms usually have these equipments available but you can buy your own if you’re sensitive about using stuff shared by different people.

Will You Get Hurt While Training?

Muay Thai, just like other martial arts is quite physically demanding in nature so the risk of getting an injury can never be excluded. However, your personal trainer or instructor will always see to it to make the sport as safe as possible. You shouldn’t even attempt to learn a martial art if you don’t want to get hurt in the first place.
